#99 Consistency Wins

Consistency wins.  I strive to better serve you through documenting my processes to help you achieve your goals.  If you can take a nugget of wisdom here and there, then I consider my time well spent.

Consistent Returns

I know the result because I’ve done it for so many years.  Not only that, but I can look back at specific periods of time to see how I was operating.  I can see exactly what was working and what wasn’t working.  It’s all about execution.  The execution of small actions consistently over time, no matter how mundane they may seem.

Think about contributing to an IRA.  Contributing X amount each month may seem like it’s not amounting to anything significant but think about the compounded effect 20 years later.  Think about the small diet decisions you make every day.  Do you have the discipline to consistently make those small decisions to keep you healthier in the long term?

Delayed Gratification

You may not see the results today or tomorrow, but what about two weeks from now?  Two months from now?  Two years from now?  If you consistently execute, day over day, you will become an entirely different person.

I’m a completely different person than I was back in the trailer.  I have molded myself through consistent action over time.  The hours of lunges, the hours of training, the hours of personal development, and the hours fueling my body have formed a deep sense of confidence in myself.

It Takes Time

It takes time, and that’s okay.  The work put in produces the value you seek.  No matter what you have going on in your life, it all comes back to staying consistent.  People ask me all the time what the difference-maker is to being successful.  It’s this concept.

You either have the unwillingness to quit, or you adjust your strategy because you discovered something else that’s more effective.  Be willing to outwork and outlast the person next to you.

These consistent, non-negotiable behaviors and commitments all contribute to building confidence and winning at life.  So, when your back is against the wall, you’ll have the confidence to make good decisions and blaze opportunities as they come.

Absolutely nailed it!! Love this mindset and how much it helps to remember the big picture that you’re working towards in the future.
