#241 Be the Person

Be the Person

Who or what do you draw inspiration from?

Are you on the edge? Do you want to be different?

Do you want to inspire others? Do you want to be a figurehead of inspiration for your family, friends, and others?

Get Addicted to Helping

Have you ever felt what it’s like to impact another person? Let me tell you… there’s no feeling like it.

Not only do you get addicted to the discipline, the way you feel, the goals you set, and the gains you make, but you also get addicted to that feeling of helping someone else.

Get Your House in Order

You can only help people once you have your own shit together.

When self-discipline is lacking, ask yourself: “How am I going to help people if my shit isn’t together?”

Yeah, I’m someone who has my shit together most of the time, but no one is 100% disciplined all the time. I’ve become more self-disciplined over the years because I’ve continuously set higher expectations for myself.

Create space through your own self-discipline to add more value.

Be the Unicorn

Being the person that people turn to for inspiration means you’re holding yourself accountable to the people that need you.

You can be the unicorn for both your family and friends. You become the unicorn by consistently showing up for those who need you for inspiration. Your wife/husband, your aunt or uncle, your nephews, or your social media community.

They see you leading from the front. They see you going to get your goals. They see the discipline you hold. They see you becoming a more confident human being and how it’s rubbing off on everything you decide to take on.

It’s Always a Battle

What’s your version of “normal?”

Most people don’t know how just how good they can feel because they are so used to what they’re currently doing. They’re stuck and can’t break the cycle.

But if you’re truly wanting to instill change in your life, I encourage you to take the first step. Be the person that people are going to look up to. Identify your sources of inspiration to keep you going. Set goals, then go get them. Embody the type of person you want to be.

I know that this is possible because I’m living proof.

You’re not going to get it 100% right every day, and that’s okay. What’s important is that you keep going. That you keep getting back up.
