It Doesn't Exist

Everything is a work in progress.

We’ve all heard people talk about wanting to start that business, how they want X amount in the bank, or how they want to lose 20 pounds.

The reality is that most people never start.

They keep saying, “It’s not ready yet. It’s not perfect,” They start overthinking their process and strategy. Analysis paralysis. Nothing happens.

I’m the kind of person that sometimes starts a little too soon, and I’m fully aware of this, but I know that it’s going to be a work in progress. Nothing is going to be perfect starting out, but that’s not the point.

The point here is to just get started, even if it’s not all the way figured out.

Bottles to Bags

For example, during the pandemic we couldn’t get bottles for our supplements. We even were having trouble getting product from the manufacturer. We were essentially forced to move to bags.

If I don't have bottles, I don't have product. If I don’t have product, I don’t have sales. If I don’t have sales, I don’t have a business.

I was hit with a huge upfront cost when I was forced to switch to bags. Then, the bags ended up being not great quality. The company rep neglected to tell us that for just two cents more, we could have purchased a much more superior bag. I was stuck with thousands of bags, and there’s nothing that I could do about it.

Unfortunately, sometimes the answer isn't the best answer, it's the only answer.

It Will Never Be Perfect

Things will probably never be perfect.

Business has its highs & lows. It is what it is. It’s all a part of the game.

Understand that every little detail isn’t going to be in line from the start. Place your focus on improvement, with the long-term in mind. Focus on making it better. Just get started.
